Final thoughts on Malta

3 Oct 16

Today we bid farewell to the Maltese sunshine and make our way back home to the various parts of the UK. We have already said goodbye to our new South African friends, who are off on a harbour cruise around the island, before spending a few more days in Sliema.

Before we leave, some of the ladies shared their final thoughts on the trip with me…

“Fun and friendship in the Maltese sunshine.” – Margaret F

“Food in the hotel was superb, and there was plenty of choice. It was easy to get around.” – Betty

“As I have walking difficulties, I have been very grateful for all the help I have received.” – Jill

“I hadn’t appreciated the depth of the history and how the people of Malta almost live in two cultures – European and Arab. Malta may be tiny but they are in such an important position.” – Marian

“I didn’t think that I would learn as much as I did! We learnt a lot more than if we had just visited by ourselves” – Scotty

“I enjoyed the days in Mdina, Marsaxlokk and Gozo. I could imagine the cafes at Marsaxlokk being a lovely place to have lunch” – Pam

It sounds like all of the group had a lovely time and will return with many happy memories. In fact, some of the group have already booked onto their next adventure – the Danube River Cruise for Trefoil Guild members in 2018! Find out more here!

Keep an eye out for all of the Malta photos later this week. For now though, it’s Il-vjaġġ it-tajjeb and Saħħiet  from Malta!
