Rayburn Tours and Venture Abroad has been an accredited Investors in People company for over 15 years. Having recently been awarded the Gold Standard for the 6th year running, it is hugely encouraging for both our staff and our customers to know that the company has received this recognition for upholding the very best in people management excellence. We pride ourselves on our superb customer service and a happy workplace means happy customers!
We ran a Q&A with Rayburn Tours and Venture Abroad Director and General Manager, Katie Boyden, to find out a little bit more about what this achievement means for the company.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO BE A PART OF INVESTORS IN PEOPLE?
I believe it is extremely important for us to be part of Investors in People. A key part of the process involves an assessor interviewing randomly selected employees as well as compiling an overview of the business collected from anonymous surveys completed by the entire workforce. A variety of topics are covered including “leading and inspiring people”, “creating sustainable success”, “living the organisation’s values and behaviours” and “developing continuous improvement”.
The Investors in People assessment provides us with incredibly detailed and useful feedback which we can then build upon to ensure the company continues to develop and grow.
